Govt issues guidelines for allotment of accommodation
‘Misuse of Estates property’

Jammu, Feb 24: In an attempt to prevent misuse of Estates property and the public exchequer the government has issued new guidelines for allotment of residential accommodation for officers and officials moving to Srinagar in connection with bi-annual Darbar Move-2020.
Earlier, the moving officers and officials directly approach Director Estates or Deputy Director Estates in Jammu and Srinagar.
“Applications duly completed in all respects are required to be forwarded by the Heads of Department-in respect of employees other than Secretariat and Drawing and Disbursing Officer in case of Secretariat Employees to Estates Department Civil Secretariat, specifically certifying the eligibility of Head of Department/Drawing and Disbursing Officer shall not be entertained”, sources said.
“All the application on the prescribed format completed in all respects shall reach to Estate Department Civil Secretariat by or before 15th of March, 2020 and failing which no application form shall be entertained”, sources said, adding that no application form for allotment of accommodation at Srinagar shall be entertained by Estates Department directly.
