Dy Mayor inspects Heritage sites

JAMMU, Feb 25: Adv. Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor today conducted inspection of area near PHE Ground Water Division Opposite Electric Sub-station, Dhountly Dhakki in Ward No. 01. Along with Adv. Purnima Sharma, Er. Arun Gupta (XEN T, JMC), Er. Ashok Sharma (AEE T, JMC), Er. Ramesh Koul, (J.E., JMC) were also present during the inspection. During the inspection, Deputy Mayor inspected the old well at Balram Temple at Dhountly as its related to the heritage of Jammu and directions were issued to the officials of the engineering section that 25 lakhs allotted by JMC per ward for the development of water bodies shall be utilized for the revival and maintenance of the heritage well and also directions were issued to make estimates for tile work and shed which is to be constructed outside the open space of the Balram temple. Adv. Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor also inspected various sites of ongoing works in Ward No. 01. She also visited new sites where new developmental work can be initiated. During the inspection, Deputy Mayor also listened to the grievance of the local public and resolved many issues and also on spot directions were issued to the officials of the engineering section to get the pending developmental completed within a stipulated time. The XEN, AEE and JE ensured the Deputy Mayor that all the directions will be followed and quality of work will be upto the mark. During the inspection, people of the temple and locals of the area were also present.
