SRINAGAR, Feb 26: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a 'Maharatna' Enterprise under Ministry of Power, Government of India organised The Campus Recruitment Program 2019 in NIT Srinagar, under this program 13 Engineers have been recruited from various branches of Engineering - 7 from Electrical, 3 each from Civil and Electronics and Communication.
Union Minister of State (IC) (Power and New & Renewable Energy) and Minister of State(Skill Development and Entrepreneurship) R.K. Singh alongwith Lieutenant Governor of UT J&K Girish Chandra Murmu gave the appointment letters to the newly recruited Trainee Assistant Engineers on 26th February 2020 .On completion of one year training, they will be placed as Engineers in the Corporation.
This Campus Recruitment program is regularly conducted by POWERGRID in NIT Srinagar as a special initiative to encourage the youth in the UTs of J&K and Ladahk and avail better career opportunities for themselves.
POWERGRID's physical assets as on January 31, 2020 include more than 162,489 ckm Transmission Lines, 248 Sub-Stations with transformation capacity of more than 400,082 MVA. |
