SAMBA, Feb 26: District Development Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria today convened a meeting of officers of Social Welfare Department to review the functioning of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) in the district.
District Programme Officer ICDS, Ritu Mahajan; (Additional Charge), Chief Planning Officer, Sukhleen Kaur; District Information Officer, Ajay Sharma, besides Child Development Project Officers of District Samba and field staff of ICDS were present at the meeting.
The District Programme Officer gave a detailed presentation regarding status of procurement of Nutrition, number of children enrolled in the Anaganwadi centres and present status of MIS reports, PMMVY, POSHAN Abhiyan, Mahilla Shakti Kendra (MSK), Ladli Beti, Scheme for Adolescent Girls and other allied schemes.
The DDC directed the concerned officer to expedite the procurement of Nutrition for the Anganwadi Centres and laid emphasis upon addressing the concerns of general public regarding implemenation of Ladli Beti Scheme in the district.
The DDC also stressed on making MSK centre functional in the district for empowerment of the women.
The DDC directed to submit the calendar of activities under POSHAN Abhiyan and create maximum awareness among general public regarding schemes executed by ICDS dept by organizing camps and seminars. |
