Rotary Club Jammu provides Hearing Aid to child

JAMMU, Feb 26: Rotary Club of Jammu in association with JK Electronic Ears Prime Speech & Hearing Clinic supported a child aged about 5 years with hearing aid today under the president ship of Rtn Dr. Anil K Amla at JK Electronic Ears Prime Speech & Hearing Clinic.
Rtn Dr. Navneet Gupta Assistant Professor Deptt of ENT ASCOM Jammu and Asstt Governor of RID 3070 told that the said child Master Riyansh reported to him some time back with a complaint of unable to speak and hear . After complete assessment the child diagnosed with profound hearing loss, so the child fitted with strong class hearing aid, so that the said child get benefit in terms of hearing. Child was also counselled by Dr Navneet Gupta, Assistant Professor, Dept. of ENT, Consultant Audiologist and Speech Pathologist at ASCOMS & Hospital and team JKEE for regular intensive speech and language therapy for his speech and language development. Dr Gupta also counselled child's parent that if the child will not get significant benefit in terms of hearing and speech language development within a period of 4 to 6 months. Child will be sent for Cochlear implant surgery with collaboration with Rotary Club of Jammu.
