Panun Kashmir rejects reorganisation of J&K
2/27/2020 9:11:09 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 27: Panun Kashmir said that it doesn’t consider the reorganisation of erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir into two UTs as a final act. Neutralisation of Article 370 has made future reorganisation now legally very easy and creation of a Union Territory east and north of river Jhelum in Kashmir for the permanent rehabilitation of displaced Hindus of Kashmir a distinct possibility. With deep anguish and concern we want to state that the governments in the Center and the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir continue to be pursuing the same policy with regard to internally displaced Hindus of Kashmir as was pursued by Congress, PDP and National Conference. Inspite of the fact that Union Government clearly stated that JKLF was responsible for the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits thereby explicitly accepting that Hindus of Kashmir were subjected to the most gruesome crime against Humanity yet the policy of denial of genocide of Hindus of Kashmir continues unabated. The most glaring example are the statements of some individuals representing organisations related or close to BJP-RSS family who met Union Home Minister recently.
These statements underlined that the Home Minister is visualising the return and rehabilitation of internally displaced Hindus in colonies spread over entire Kashmir. If this is true then it is clear that Government of India does not recognise the necessity to address the issue of return and rehabilitation in the perspective of reversal of genocide but is merely interested in a tokenist cosmetic return.
