Senseless violence
2/27/2020 10:04:46 PM
Violence in Delhi leaving more than twenty five persons dead has sent shockwaves across the country. Everyone is appealing for calm and harmony.
Communal clashes breaking out in Delhi has shaken everyone as the National Capital is India's pride and unfortunately it's burning. A few people are out to challenge the very idea of India. They are out on streets to malign the image of our country. This cannot be tolerated.
Questions are being raised over the failure of law enforcing and intelligence agencies. Hate speeches of the leaders have been taken a serious note of. Even the Supreme Court has pulled up Delhi Police for failing to act professionally to check the violence and prevent rioters from indulging in arson and looting.
The elements inimical to peace have succeeded in their nefarious designs. Possibility of the people sitting across the Line of Control being involved in fanning the communal passions needs to be looked into.
Since the day Parliament has passed Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) a misinformation campaign has been launched across the country. Muslims are being told that it's a step towards them losing their citizenship, while the fact remains that the CAA has got nothing to do with the Indian citizens. The CAA is about providing citizenship rights to the members of persecuted minorities, who have fled Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
It's really sad that citizens of this country have been pitted against each other for no reason. The rioters, who have set Delhi on fire are not the only ones who are to be blamed, politicians are equally responsible for the crisis in Delhi.
The hate mongers and the leaders who are out to divide India on religious lines need to be booked for preaching hate and spreading venom. The violence in Delhi broke out at a time when US President Donald Trump was in the National Capital. The way events have unfurled during the past few days have made it clear that riots in Delhi were preplanned and were a part of larger conspiracy.
Arrest of people like Sharjeel Imam, who had threatened to cut off North East from the rest of the country, is just a tip of the ice berg. Many more Sharjeels could be behind these acts. The venom which the politicians of the both the communities spew against each other is another big reason. The involvement of people sitting across the LoC too cannot be ruled out.
