Amid demand of domicile Govt sets up panel to examine recruitment rules

Jammu, Feb 27: With demand for providing domicile like option is becoming lauder with every passing day to protect job rights of the local youth, administration of the Union Territory (UT) of J&K today constituted committee to examine the Jammu and Kashmir Special Recruitment Rules, 2015.
As per Government Order No.293-JK (GAD) of 2020, issued today sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of a Committee which is headed by chief secretary who will chairman of this panel. Other members of the panel included Financial Commissioner Finance Department, Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department, Secretary, Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs. Jop of the panel is to examine the Jammu and Kashmir Special Recruitment Rules, 2015, notified vide SRO-202 of 2015 dated 30.06.2015, and its implications on the job structure in Government as well as Financial implications.
As reported earlier, a raging debate has begun for “a domicile-like option” on the pattern of neighbouring Himachal Pradesh, “to protect the interests of locals”.
People are demanding that to invoke a process to have a Domicile Certificate on the analogy of Himachal Pradesh and with a subject that a person or family can get the domicile certificate after residing minimum period of 20 years in the state that too with a record of good character and nationalism.
People are demanding domicile to project job rights to local youth.
