Decorated State Championship Tennis players of K C Sports Club felicitated

JAMMU, Mar 4: The promising Soft Tennis players of K C Sports Club, a leading sports body in Jammu, were today felicitated for bagging 10 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals in different categories of the just concluded State Soft Tennis Championship, played at the Gindun Stadium, Srinagar.
K C Sports Clubs Chairman Raju Chowdhary and Managing Director Arjun Chowdhary, complimented the medalists and exuded confidence that given their devotion to the sport, they will make a mark at national and international events.
The winners of State Soft Championship, organised by J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association in conjunction with JK Sports Council including Indu Padha, Yasir Tariq (gold medal winner in men’s double), Sidhani Singh, Arnav Vaid, Soham Bhat, Madhavendra Singh, Shulin Koul, Hardeep Singh Sudan and Shreemai Bhat were given huge applause by the sports lovers and their coach for making a huge mark in the event.
Being trained in the courts of KC Sports Club under the expert guidance of International player, Indu Padha, the talented sportspersons have outstandingly performed at the National and International tournaments and have won gold and silver medals thus making Jammu and Kashmir as well as their schools and parents proud.
The improvised and completely modernized K C Sports Club had been formally inaugurated by Advisor to Lt. Governor, Farooq Khan recently. He lauded and felicitated the young players of different sports with assurance of all possible support to the club as also its players to enable them scaling new heights in the sports world.
Pertinently, the KC Sports Club offers highly sophisticated and technologically advanced sports facilities and equipments to the budding players of J&K with an avowed objective of sharpening uniquely gifted young talent to make their mark in the sports arena. The improvised sports complex can be compared with the best sports complexes across the world. Comprising both indoor and outdoor facilities for health, fitness and almost all major games and sports, the club is natural and the only choice for upcoming sports persons.
The indoor complex laid at the cost of about Rs.25 crore over 60000 square feet of double height air-conditioned space is spread over 3 floors. The ground floor houses a huge gym fitted with state-of-the-art equipment imported from USA, a 20 meter indoor swimming pool, a gymnastics hall and a table-tennis hall. The entire first floor houses a Cricket Hall with 9 batting and bowling tracks suited for both pace and spin bowling, created with artificial turf imported from New Zealand. Two of its tracks are fitted with automatic Bola bowling machines are exclusively utilized for batting practice with varying bowling speeds programmed into the machines. The well-lit air conditioned hall facilitates both day and night cricketing throughout the year. The second floor of the indoor complex houses two squash courts of international standard and a spacious multi-sports hall accommodating 8 badminton courts, two tennis courts, two basketball courts, two volleyball courts and one standard Futsal arena.
