SAMBA, Mar 25: Various orders have been issued by the Government to contain the spread of COVID-19. In continuation of orders/ advisories the District Magistrate Samba has also issued orders under Section 144 of Cr.P.C. and Disaster Management Act, 2005.
The District Magistrate today shared guidelines for information of general public that all Government Offices / Private offices of district Samba shall remain closed Except Police, Home Guards, Civil Defence, Fire & Emergency Services, Disaster Management and Prisons, District administration and Treasury, commercial besides private establishments shall also remain close except Insurance Offices, Print and Electronic Media.
All Transport services will remain suspended except transportation of essential goods only, Fire, Law & Order and emergency services. All places of worship shall be closed for public, no religious congregations will be permitted without any exception while in case of funerals, and congregation not more than twenty persons will be permitted.
These restrictions shall fundamentally relate to movement of people, but not to that of essential goods, All Executive Magistrates / Incident Commanders in the local jurisdiction will be responsible for overall implementation of these measures and further they shall also ensure that all efforts for mobilization of resources, workers and material for augmentation and expansion of hospital infrastructure shall continue without any hindrance.
Any person violating these containment measures will be liable to be proceeded against as per the provisions of Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, besides legal action under Section 188 of the IPC. The above containment measures will remain in force till April 14, 2020. |
