JAMMU, Mar 24: To spread more awareness among inhabitants and to take precautionary measures for the prevention from the deadly COVID -19,a team of social activists led by Sunil Pandita and Piaray Lal Thusu held an awareness programme at Kashmiri Migrant colony Jagti here today. They urged the people to stay at their respective homes which is the only way out to check the spread of infection of deadly virus and restrain to gather anywhere outside on streets ,shops or else where in the locality and maintain a considerable distance from one another as a precautionary measure to keep ourselves safe and healthy.
The volunteers were moving in loud speaker fitted vehicles in the camp and urging people to remain indoors and follow the advisories strictly issued by the government.
They also urged the Health department to provide necessary sanitizing medicine in SDH Jagti and spraying of the entire camp with disinfecting chemicals besides making availability of an ambulance for for any emergency in the hospital ,they added. |
