Jammu, Mar 27: Authorities of J&K and UP are on the toes after death of Coronavirus patient at Srinagar on Thursday because the deceased man- who was a religious preacher, had visited various parts of Jammu and Deoband of UP.
Reports said that Coronavirus victim had visited different areas of Jammu and participated in various religious congregations. He interacted with various people at Jammu and stayed there for some days before left for Kashmir.
Credible sources said that authorities of Jammu region are working assiduously to trace those who have interacted with the deceased.
Reports said that man had stayed in a mosque for 4 days in Deoband of UP.
Reportedly the 65-year-old man from Hyderpora in Srinagar , who died here on Thursday morning, had visited Deoband along with a group of five and had stayed at a mosque. He had reportedly visited Deoband in Saharanpur district between March 9 and 12.
The man had visited Deoband, along with a group of five and had stayed at a mosque. People who stayed with him have now been sent to quarantine at a special quarantine facility at IIT Saharanpur. Two policemen who had offered namaz at the same mosque on March 13 have also been sent on leave for home quarantine as a precautionary measure.
