Early Times Report

JAMMU, Mar 28: Though Government had no other alternative but to order 21 day total lock down as a safety measure against deadly Corona Virus, some people earning their living after working as a labour industry or as a farm worker or hawker like rehti pheri worker have been worst hit by losing their living and some of them have nothing to eat even. Sources said that some families among them are at the verge of starvation with these people having nothing to eat or feed their children.
This problem has occured in various areas of Jammu, region , sources added. Though some NGOs, police and other social groups have started a process of supplying good items to them yet lot needs to them also in view of the gravity of the situation. Sources said a family had nothing to feed itself in a border village of Ramgarh Sector yesterday and it was only the rang the PCR emergency number that police through Ramgarj Police Station arranged ration for the family. There can be hundreds of such families in Jammu region needing immediate help from administration.
Sources said some social organisations have taken up the onus to help such families on their own but the problem can compound in coming days if lockdown continues. Under such circumstances it will be difficult for these people to feed themselves and to save them from starvation some prominent citizens have appealed the Government to come to their aid.
However Government under this crisis situation can't alone do any thing for such people and hence public support and cooperation is must.
Some people have already started donating towards PM's relief fund so that nation can overcome the crisis and no body goes to bed hungry.
It is a good opportunity for those people who were spending lot of money on religious programmes in Navratras and in view of the prevailing lock down people have a best opportunity to pay this amount in PM relief fund so that the poor people could be helped and nobody goes to bed hungry. Some people have made an appeal through social media in this regard also and it is said that by contributing the amount to pm fund by every body the country will surely win it's battle against dreaded Corona virus and no body will go hungry to bed.
