Poonch, Mar 28: Taking bold initiative, members of Poonch Press Club have come forward voluntarily to help police and administration of Poonch to trace out the corona suspects in the districts of Poonch as well as Rajouri.
While talking to Early Times President Poonch Press Club, Salil Raina said that the recent cases of Coronavirus, which have been reported in Rajouri and Poonch districts, have sounded alert but expressed resentment against the Police and Administration for not giving cooperation. “We are facing many problems in discharging our duties as we are not being allowed to move around the district to get ground reports on the prevailing situation.
Media persons are being stopped at every naka and being sent back despite showing their media card,” he alleged.
He further said that media can play vital role in helping police and administration in these testing times.
Meanwhile, recent cases reported from Manjakote of Rajouri district have created fear among the people. When Early times correspondent talked to SSP Rajouri Chandan Kohli, he said that people should understand their responsibility by staying at homes.
He appealed to the people for their cooperation in tracing out the corona suspects in the district.
Media fraternity appealed the Divisional Commissioner Jammu to take note of the problem of non cooperation from Police and Administration.
Poonch Press Club appealed to people to contact its members in case of any problem including President Salil Raina, Ramesh Bali, Rajesh Tandon, Satvinder Pal Singh, Manjit Singh, Munish, Anubhav Misri, Koshal Kumar, Nipun Khajuria, Sunny Sharma, Sehzad Butt, Sonu Sharma. Rajesh khajuria .
Meanwhile Rajouri Police starts home delivery of medicines.
As per reports, any person/patient in need of medicines can contact Police Station Rajouri for home delivery of medicines.
Rajouri Police will start this service in city Rajouri and then can be replicated in other areas of Rajouri also. Contact Number:7006190520
