Kishtwar police refuted allegations of Doctors, urged people to stay inside homes

KISHTWAR, Mar 28: Kishtwar police today refuted the allegations of harassment levelled against them by some doctors and said that no one was harassed added that they are only performing their duties to safeguard the lives of the people.
A senior police official told the Early Times only those officials are being allowed who had received passes from the administration. He said that no one stops doctors if they were on way to duty and said that police only objected at the time when some among them were found carrying few unwarranted people in their respective vehicles. He said that one such doctor who was living at stone throw distance from Kishtwar District Hospital had no grounds to roam in his vehicle.
"If Superintendent District Hospital Kishtwar- a senior doctor reach hospital on foot since his residence is near to hospital- why can't a junior doctor can effort" said the official. He said that doctors checking the patients at entry point or at designated hospital is more vulnerable to the infection and must restrain its movement. He said that what is the fun of the doctor to travel 40 KM up down from the place of posting. He urged upon the people to cooperate in these testing time and appeal the people to stay inside homes, beside also called upon the people to call any police officials in case of any emergency added that Kishtwar police will be at the door step of the people in the need of the hour.
