| Dy Mayor JMC distributes essential commodities among poor | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 29: Adv. Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation distributed raw food supplies and milk packets to the families belonging to the under privileged economic weaker section, auto drivers, rehri vendors and the families which were unable to earn their living due to 21 days lock down due to coronavirus, so following the footsteps of Prime Minister Deputy Mayor distributed raw food supplies and milk packets to the these families and the families living in slums and also food supplies were distributed by Commissioner JMC to the slum families, in order to provide some relief to these families.
Also it was brought up to the notice of the media personnel by the Deputy Mayor that fodder for the cattles in cattle pound JMC will be provided by the Mahant Rajesh Bittu for which JMC will handle the transportation of fodder. Adv. Purnima Sharma appealed to the privileged section and various NGOs to step up and to also follow the footsteps of our Hon'ble Prime Minister and help the under privileged economically weaker families in their locality by providing them with the necessary food supplies during this COVID-19 Lockdown of 21 days so that no one has to suffer. During the distribution Rama Booth President, Pooja , Shubh Lata, Anuradha, Sunita and other prominent members of the ward were also present. The distribution of raw food items by Deputy Mayor was done in collaboration with New Savera NGO. Adv. Purnima Sharma encouraged the good work by the NGO. |
