AAP urges admin to help stranded students, laborers

Jammu, Mar 30: J&K Aam Aadmi Party activists have urged the J&K UT administration to take urgent steps to streamline the arrangements for the stranded students, labourers & others belonging to different Districts, who are stuck up in Jammu, due to the sudden announcement of lock down , on the pattern of Delhi- Arvind Kejriwal government & as per yesterday’s home department order. They also urged the J&K UT administration to Up-grade health facilities in all District & rural areas of J&K UT. They further urged the UT administration to take further steps to streamline the process of food and shelter and the medicines & isolation centers to those stranded in Jammu, belonging to different parts of Jammu & Kashmir, on the pattern of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal government & also on the direction of Home department order issued on 29-03-2020. They further said that large number of students who were studying in different colleges in the country & a large number of labourers who were also working as daily wagers in different unorganized sectors & are now stranded in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Rajastan, Assam and other states, they should be kept in the nearest shelters by the respective governments/ UT governments & provided them Isolation centre’s & quarantine facilities’ after proper screening for a minimum period of 14 days as per standard health protocol & all the state governments should also follow the yester day’s order of home department & after that they should be brought back to their homes in view of the alarming spread of COVID-19.
