Early Times Report

ANANTNAG, Mar 30: Hours after assuming charge as Chief Executive Officer Pahalgam Development Authority (PDA), Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, KAS, kick started demolition drive against illegally raised structures.
As per the reports, demolition squad led by Chief Executive Officer PDA, Thursday demolished illegally raised structure at Langanbal Pahalgam.
Structure was raised in violation of High Court directions that has imposed a blanket ban over any sort of constructions in Pahalgam and adjacent areas falling under the jurisdiction of PDA.
Chief Executive Officer PDA, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani told Early Times that structure was demolished today by the demolition squad as it was raised in violation of High Court directions as well as in violation of Pahalgam Master Plan.
Pertinent to mention here, Early Times has reported several times that some blue-eyed and influential took advantage of undue advantage of the situation that prevailed after August 4, 2019 and raised illegal structures.
After Early Times news reports, PDA had registered FIR against at least such violators who constructed huts and other structures in Pahalgam, however, the structures were not demolished.
