Vision Kashmir express concerns over financial crisis

Jammu, Mar 31: Vision Kashmir an organization of over aged relief holders expressed serious concerns about the financial crisis of relief holders emerging out of the outbreak of COVID19 and complete lockdown. A release of the organization said that due to complete lockdown nearly 20563 families and 68088 souls of relief holders who were already living a life of depravity and now due to the pandemic their financial worries added more miseries to them but concerned authorities are hell bent to resolve their issues keeping in view of the grave situation emerging out of covid19. Over aged relief holders are completely dependent on cash assistance have been hit hard on the economic front and are now heading towards serious implications viz-a-viz essential daily needs, routine medicines, escalating prices of vegetables and eatables due to pandemic lockdown and are facing the scarcity of food grains also apart from perennial debits, leading to physical and psychological stress among them. In an appeal to LT Governor and Secretary Relief, Revenue and Reconstruction, over aged relief holders urged to release the funds on priority and release cash assistance for the months March and April 2020 or provide ex Garcia amount of Rs 5000 to each family so that they be in a position to meet emergency expenses and ration for the month of April and May 2020 may be released on ration slips of the year 2019 on priority basis as lockdown due to covid 19 is going to continue till mid of April as the situation of relief holders is turning from bad to worst. Over aged relief holders expressed hope that their genuine problems will be duly considered by the authorities in order to minimize their sufferings in this crucial period.
