Jammu, April 1: The war of Mahore Police against drugs and the peddlers which has been initiated since long has taken pace again and in the process during checking and frisking by Naka Party at Wani Morh one person namely Mohd Mumtaz Bhat S/O Abdul Hamid Bhat ,age 40 years ,R/O Mohalla Rourkana of village Badar,Tehsil Mahore who was coming from Jamlan area towards Mahore town was put to thorough checking and frisking.
During search of the said person 470 gram of cannabis (Charas in common parlance) was recovered from his possession. The arrested drug peddler belongs to village Badar of Tehsil Mahore and is involved in supplying and selling of narcotic drugs in Mahore,Baddar,Bagga ,Sarh and Balmatkote area of Tehsil Mahore. In this regard case FIR No .18/2020 ,U/S 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Mahore and investigation is taken up. During preliminary investigation it has come to notice that the accused has bought the consignment from valley side to sell it to the youth of Mahore and surrounding areas. |
