Kavinder hails govt’s mechanism to fight COVID-19
4/1/2020 11:29:25 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 1: Senior BJP leader and former deputy CM Kavinder Gupta today hailed the J&K government for upscaling preparatory mechanism to fight the deadly coronavirus. He also called upon the people to cooperate with the agencies concerned and stay at home to break the COVID-19 chain.
He said the UT administration was doing a commendable job in initiating the requisite steps to prevent the further spread of the pandemic.
Referring to the fresh restrictions imposed in Bhatindi, Sunjawan, Gujjar Nagar, Janipura and Bhawani Nagar areas of Jammu, the BJP leader urged the inhabitants of these localities to not violate the government directive and make use of the 24x7 Control Room that has been set up for any medical emergency.
Calling upon the people of these five localities to immediately contact the control room’s two landline telephone Nos-0191-2571616 and 0191-2571912 in case of any emergency, he said no inconvenience ought to be caused to the inhabitants on this account.
“These are extraordinary times. I am grateful that the government is getting unprecedented understanding and cooperation from the people. I would like to reassure the people that the entire administrative machinery is constantly and closely monitoring the situation and taking all necessary steps” Kavinder asserted.
He said for the safety of people, J&K has already fully sealed its borders with the neighbouring Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and the Union Territory of Ladakh and put restrictions on the inter-district movement of people and vehicles.
