Mayor JMC provides dry ration kits to needy people

Jammu, Apr 1: Continuing his commitment to provide best possible help to the daily wage earners in view of prevailing situation arisen due to outbreaks of COVID-19 epidemic in J&K as well as whole of the worlds, Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation toady, accompanied by Sobat Ali, Councilor of Ward No.74, Madam Tina Mahajan, Secretary JMC , Sandeep Sharma Deputy Director Planning, Rajesh Gupta, Chief Enforcement Officer, Rajinder Kumar Sanitation Officer and subordinate staff of JMC distributed dry ration comprising essential commodities like Atta, Rice, Dal, Sugar , Edible Oil, Salt, Potatoes, Onion to fifty needy and downtrodden families residing in slums near Hotel Jammu Darbar Opp. Hotel Ritz Manor Channi Bye pass. Mayor further said that JMC would continue its mission of serving needy people and more such families would be provided ration in coming days during lockdown.
Mayor further informed that keeping in view the ongoing lockdown due to coronavirus and restricted imposed by Administration, the authorities would not allow public gatherings to move towards River Tawi or any other river for immersing of “Holy Saakh” so he appealed to the residents of Jammu to follow the lockdown.
