Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 3: Many eye-brows raised over 14 students from Kashmir Valley, who have been reportedly pursuing MBBS in Pakistan. After outbreak of deadly Coronavirus, these students from Kashmir, were directed by the Pakistan to go to their native places and now they are in the quarantine centre at Amritsar.
Credible sources said that most of the intelligence agencies were unaware that many students from Kashmir Valley have been pursuing MBBS in Pakistan where education standard was very low as compared to other countries of South Kashmir.
Sources said that most of intelligence agencies were unaware that students from Kashmir have taken admission in Pakistan. It was only after PDP president, Mehbooba Mufti, through her twitter handle, had raised demand of ‘plight’ of these students that intelligence agencies got information about these students.
Mehbooba Mufti, whose twitter handle is operated by her daughter Iltija, tweeted on April 25, “Kashmiri students are stranded in Pakistan due to border closure. Request @MEAIndia@DrSJaishankar to assist them at the earliest.
Reports said that these students, who returned from Pakistan, have been kept in the mandatory quarantine at Amritsar, after they had crossed over to this side through Wagha border.
