Public response makes Union to change domicile law: JKAAP
4/5/2020 9:26:33 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 5: Jammu and Kashmir Aam Aadmi Party (JKAAP) has claimed that the strong public resentment against the new domicile law forced the Union to make amendments.
Dr. A.C. Bhagat, Om Raj Bhall and Kuldeep Kumar Rao said that entire population of Union Territory was on heels in general and the unemployed youth in particular, which led to the change of stance of Union.
AAP-J&K leaders further revealed the reality that the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir has remained a hub of corruption and often ranked at number one or two in India with respect to corruption. Here in this erstwhile state (even now also) a lion’s share i.e.60 to 70 % of the funds meant for developmental works are swindled and siphoned off by the politicians and their nearer and dearers and other supporters and only a meager chunk of 30 to 40 % is utilized for so called developmental works, they said.
“Rich people have established thousands and thousands of private schools and other educational institutions and virtually the education in Jammu and Kashmir is on sale. This all has resulted consequent upon the failure of education system here. Same is the case with Health sector which too is in a collapsed condition. Even for minor ailments people from far – flung, hilly and remote areas rush to Jammu and similarly to Srinagar and unfortunately at Jammu proper and at Srinagar Proper too, desired facilities are not available and the hapless and poor people with ailments are often further referred to Chandigarh, Ludhiana and Delhi also. Same is the fate of other sectors also, be it employment, water, electricity, roads, sanitation, Social welfare, Industry etc.”, they said.
AAP activists appealed before the central government to broadcast on daily basis by electronic media and print media total amount of donations collected and amount spent to make the things transparent and clean as many people have many apprehensions about collection and utilization of such huge amount.
