Dy Mayor JMC distributes essential food items

Jammu, Apr 5: Amid the 21 days Lock Down in India to fight the COVID-19, Adv. Purnima Sharma on humanitarian basis distributed essential food supplies including flour bags, cooking oil and other essential items among the needy people in Ward No. 5. As the daily wagers, labourers, auto drivers can't earn a living amid the ongoing lockdown, so Adv. Purnima Sharma in collaboration with Anjuman-e-Imamia Jammu(regd.) distributed flour bags and other essential food items so that no needy person has to suffer during this lockdown and as this lockdown is a preventive measure to stop the spread of Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). Deputy Mayor ensured the public of ward no. 5 that such distribution of ration (food supplies) will be done to the locals and needy in the wards and further appealed to the locals to stay indoors and cooperate with the efforts of Government and Police that are trying their best to stop the further spread of this pandemic. After distributing the essential food items to 125 families of Ward no. 5, Adv. Purnima Sharma thanked the Syed Amanant Ali Shah (President), Syed Afaq. H. Kazmi (Vice President), Prof. Shujaat Ali Khan (Secretary), Syed Ayaz Naqvi (Joint Secretary), Syed Amjad Ali Naqvi (Cashier), Syed Hussain Anjum Kazmi (Store Incharge) and other members of Anjuman-e-Imamia Jammu(regd.) for stepping forward to help the people in need of ward no. 5 and encouraged their efforts as due to this we can easily fight this coronavirus pandemic without anyone starving or suffering due to the lock down. Former MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta was also present during the distribution.
