BDC Chairperson gives Rs 25 k to SDPO Akhnoor

JAMMU, Apr 8: As a sign of recognition of the service being rendered in forefront by Jammu police in fight against Covid 19, today the Chairperson BDC block Mathwar Sharifa Biwi handed over a cheque of Rs 25000 at Bhagani to SDPO AKHNOOR, Ajay Sharma who on behalf of SSP jammu accepted it in presence of SHO Gharota insp Rajesh Sharma and other members of panchayat, people from civil society. Also Under the programme "we care for you" launched by SSP Jammu, Shridhar Patil, which is going on in full swing in Police subdivision Akhnoor, today early morning after receiving a distress call at the end of PS Gharota from labourers from MP and Chattisgarh staying in village Rabta/Bhagani, in a relief mode, a mission was launched by police subdivision Akhnoor and by mobilizing all available inhouse and other resources by taking the civil society and volunteers onboard, SHO Gharota arranged dry ration for 10 days and Distributed to 29 families consisting of 110 souls. The ration thus provided consisted of rice, atta, pulses, mustard oil, salt, sugar, tea leaves, haldi, mirchi etc. The distribution was done by Ajay Sharma, KPS, SDPO Akhnoor and SHO Gharota Rajesh Sharma strictly maintaining social distancing in presence of Chairman BDC Mathwar, other elected PRI members and civil society members.
The families highly appreciated the efforts of District Police Jammu. The entire distribution was carried out under the close supervision of SP Rural, Suram Singh, such efforts shall continue in future.
