BoI distributes food items among needy

JAMMU, Apr 9: Bank of India, Jammu Center, Amritsar Zone under NBG North-I has distributed the food items to the needy people in view of prevalent lockdown announced by GoI to fight COVID-19 which has already been declared as Pandemic by WHO. This was organized under the guidance of Dr Smita Murmu the first lady of J&K. Murmu has categorically advised to take social distancing and sanitazation during distribution.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Manager Puneet Gupta said that the decision was taken by their General Manager Salil Kr Swain and their Zonal Manager Vasudev who are very much concerned about the problems being faced by daily wagers and labourers now a days in the current scenario. Harish Khurana, PRO, NBG North - I, has been the backbone of this entire activity and has played a pivotal role by leading our ways to successfully executing the whole operation under these tough times of lockdown. Following a true spirit of ''Relationship Beyond Banking'' the initiative is taken under Bank's Corporate Social Responsibility policy. Gupta has educated the people about the importance of social distancing and other precautionary measures to combat the CORONA disease. He has also requested the people to Go digital and use other alternative delivery channels to overcome the current problem.
