DSEJ issues orders for regularisation of 191 ReTs

JAMMU, Apr 9: Directorate of School Education, Jammu (DSEJ) today issued orders for the regularisation of 191 Rehbar-e-Taleem (RET) teachers engaged under erstwhile Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) to the post of Teacher Grade-II and Grade- III.
According to the Director School Education Jammu, Anuradha Gupta, out of 191 ReT teachers 140 have been regularised as Grade II and 51 as Grade III teachers.
The official order of the regularisation reads that “Chief Education Officers of Kathua, Rajouri, Ramban, Reasi, Udhampur, shall be personally responsible to verify authenticity of original testimonials before giving effect to the order of appointment of regularised ReT teachers as grade-II and grade III.”
Notably the Principal Secretary, School Education Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon had received various representations from teacher unions and individuals regarding the release of regularisation orders of ReT teachers.
On the directions of Dr Samoon, Directorate of School Education Kashmir had issued regularisation order of 155 ReTs.
“I will ensure speedy and smooth transition of their regularisation. They will be regularised according to the government order.
In coming days more regularisation orders will be issued,” he had said after issuing the orders for Kashmir division.
He had also directed the Directors of School Education Jammu and Kashmir divisions to pace up their efforts in issuing the regularisation orders of ReT teachers according to the Government order.
