| Provide PPEs to medical staff: Ashok Kumar | | | Early Times Report
Ramban, Apr 9: Ashok Kumar former MLA and Spokesman JKPCC has urged upon the Government of India and government of Jammu and Kashmir that PPEs (Personnel Protective Equipments) including N95 masks should be provided to all the forefront workers, paramedical staff and doctors.
In a statement here, senior Congress leader from Chenab Valley said these sections of people are contributing to save human lives, risking their own and also the lives of their family members everyday to fight against Covid-19 disease. These lives are most important to save humanity at such times of emergency. Thus, timely financial help and salaries should be provided to these sections of people who are fighting day and night against the Covid-19
Kumar further said that the extension order from the government of Jammu and Kashmir should be given immediately to the Contractual Para-medical staff of the union territory as they are working day and night against the Pandemic. It is a tough and threshold time to extend their services to save human lives, he said.
Ashok further said as per the guidelines of the Supreme Court of India, test for Covid-19 should be free in private laboratories. However, these laboratories are taking Rs 4500 per person for testing Covid-19. Poor people have already deprived of ration and other essential services and have no money to pay such a huge amount due to prolonged lock down in our country. He also demanded for the extension of services of the Contractual Para-medical staff of Jammu and Kashmir. |
