Jammu, May 22: A delegation of World Brahmin Federation (WBF) today called on Lt Governor and welcomed the new domicile Law in Jammu and Kashmir. During their interaction with the Lt Governor, the members of the delegation commended the steps initiated by the UT Administration and the Government of India for boosting the pace of development in J&K and welcomed the introduction of J&K Domicile Law. They briefed the Lt Governor about the activities being undertaken by WBF during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Vikas Sharma submitted a memorandum of demands pertaining to welfare of general public of J&B, Brahman Community and Youth including digitization and English encryption of all Revenue Records; online building plan permission. Dakhseesh Sharma (State President) discussed various issues pertaining to Brahman community including formation of Brahman Kalyan Board, Financial Assistance to Priest, rituals scholars, Pujaries etc during lockdown, rehabilitation of temples in Kashmir region etc. Other who were present are: - Acharya Sitaram Shastri, Shubham Sharma, Sunil Sharma etc. |
