Consider state subject as residence proof for upcoming BOPEE exams: JKYF | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 22: ALL J&K Youth Federation (AJKYF), Executive Member, Dr. Pankaj Mangotra has opposed the recent amendment made by the Lieutenant Governor in rule 4 of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination Rules, 2014 which makes domicile certificate necessary document for appearing in Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE). Dr. Pankaj termed the recent amendment in Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination Rules, 2014 as incompetent amendment by the authorities during current prevailing situation where the world is fighting against Covid-19 virus, also affecting the territory of J&K with a hike of corona cases day by day. He said that making such amendment has led to unrest among the aspirants of BOPEE examination who have to stand in long queues for issuance of domicile certificate rather than preparing for the examination which is going to held soon after the opening of lockdown as per the latest notification issued by the board. Dr. Pankaj urged the Central Government and LG to review the recent amendment and consider state subject certificate as resident proof document instead of domicile certificate for upcoming period of five years.
