EARLY TIMES REPORT

UDHAMPUR, May 28: In the ongoing nationwide lockdown the class IV staff members of Government Model Higher Secondary School, Ramnagar are not getting their salaries for the last two months and the third month is on the verge of completion, while their superiors have received all their pays and perks during this duration normally. The insiders are openly blaming the in-charge Principal of the school for all this mess.
“The class IV staff has lodged complaints against the Principal, Kiran Devi at the Grievance Cell on two occasions which ultimately paved the way for the enquiries,” the insiders informed. “Principal is not even regular to her duties and has a habit of harassing the staff for no reasons. She used to come to the school occasionally even before the imposition of lockdown,” the insiders added. They said that report for the inquiries are awaited till date while the principal as usual not attended the school during the lockdown phase though the administrative staff was asked to attend in that period.
Sources further informed that when the concerned clerk visited the Principal’s home for signing salary and other bills she refused to sign the salary bills of class IV employees for the reasons best known to her. “It looks like that the Principal is not content with her posting at Ramnagar. Recently an audio clip of the Principal went viral. In the audio, the Principal could be heard saying that she feels trapped by her posting at Ramnagar and is not happy there,” said the sources. Meanwhile the Block Development Council (BDC) Chairman Ramnagar, Des Raj while taking to Early Times demanded that this Principal should be replaced by someone willing to work with dedication. When contacted, the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Udhampur, Parshotam Dutt Sharma, said that he knows all what is happening in the Government Higher Secondary School Ramnagar and he has written regarding this to his higher ups for action including enquiry against the Principal as the poor class IV employees are suffering for no fault of theirs.
