Jammu, May 28: The National Investigating Agency (NIA) today filed supplementary charge-sheet in much publicized ‘Attari drug case’. In the charge-sheet it has been mentioned that money earned through smuggling of this drug would be used to sustain terrorism in J&K and many terrorists, who claimed to the fighting for Kashmir, would supply drugs to innocent youth of Kashmir to make them drug addict. Credible sources said that almost all terror groups including Hizbul Mujahideen is involved in smuggling drugs to earn money. “Recently killed HM terrorist Riaz Naikoo, who was glorified as ‘Math Teacher’ by ‘intellectual mercenaries’ was also involved in this trade”, sources said. 532 Kgs of Heroin and 52 Kgs of mixed narcotics were seized on 29.06.2019 at Integrated Check Post (ICP) under sections 135 of Custom Act, 1962 and attendant sections of NDPS Act, 1985. Investigation established the involvement of an international drug racket based in Pakistan as well as in Afghanistan. Investigation also revealed evidence of generation of funds through sale of narcotics smuggled from across the international border for funding terrorist activities in Jammu & Kashmir.
