Warning for TS, lightning, gusty winds in J&K to continue for next 72 hours | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, May 28: Warning for Thunderstorm (TS), Lightning, Hail and Gusty Winds (GW) will continue in the Jammu and Kashmir for the next 72 hours while weather will remain dry in Union Territory (UT) of Ladakh, a spokesman of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said here Thursday evening. Sky would clear and to partly cloudy in Gilgit and Skardu and partly cloudy to very light rain in Muzaffarabad and Mirpur in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) during the next 24 hours, he said. He said there could be isolated thunderstorm, lightning, hail and 30 to 40 km gusty winds in the Kashmir valley and Jammu division during the next three days. However, there is no warning for June Ist, he added. He said weather will remain dry during the next four days in Ladakh region. He said Mirpur in POK recorded 43 degree maximum temperature today, highest in the region followed by Muzaffarabad 38.4 degree, Jammu 36.4 degree, Gilgit 36 degree, Skardu 31.7 degree and Katra 31.1 degree. Summer capital Srinagar recorded 26.4 degree, he said.
