After reaching Delhi Omar starts ‘showing teeth’ to Centre | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 28: After reaching Delhi, former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has started criticizing Centre for its failure to control things in Kashmir Valley. He chided Union Government for shifting all blames on Pakistan. “The Centre blames Pakistan for all this. In which case why are the people of J&K being punished for things beyond our control and for which we are not responsible?”, Omar tweeted on late Wednesday evening. “No big ticket investment, no economic activity, no development activity on the ground, no democracy & here the J&K government admits to a worsening security environment. 10 months later the 5th Aug 2019 report card doesn’t look impressive”, he added. Ridiculing Centre’s claim that there would be big investment in J&K after revocation of Article 370, he pointed out that there was no investment in erstwhile state of J&K. Omar, who remained in detention for several months under Public Safety Act (PSA) was released in the month of March. Since his release, Omar Abdullah has been avoiding political statements but within hours after reaching Delhi he has started targeting Delhi government. “There is nothing political about my visit to Delhi & all this speculation is just a storm in a tea cup”, Omar clarified. |
