| Social Welfare Deptt Reasi sanctions 3000 pension cases during Covid-19 | | |

REASI, May 28: Social Welfare Department in district Reasi has sanctioned 3000 pension cases of old age, physically handicapped and widow pensions. The department has also cleared all pending cases of pensions. District Social Welfare Officer, Dr Gulshan Kumar informed that on the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Reasi Indu Kanwal Chib, Social Welfare department has started a helpline to stop domestic violence against women and girls in the district. The Department has also started online counselling for old age persons and students in the district. Department has also established control room for providing medical aid and medicine to senior citizens. District Child Protection Unit also reunited 5 to 6 with their families who are stranded in other districts.
Further on the directions of Deputy Commissioner, the Social Welfare Department also established control for directly helping front line corona warriors and their families in case they need any sort of help. |
