BARAMULLA, May 29: Twenty six fresh positive cases were reported, while as two hundred and sixty three are active positive and six have recovered till date in north Kashmir district, where as one more district in Kupwara has been notified as Red zone.
According to district wise break up, 18 fresh positive cases were reported in Kupwara including 06 travelers and 12 others, and active positive cases are 181, while as 04 have recovered, in Baramulla 08 fresh positive cases including 04 travelers and 04 others and 70 are active positive cases and 04 recovered and 05 deaths have occurred so for, in Bandipora 12 are active positive cases, and 01 death has occurred so far.
Meanwhile according to the District Magistrate (DM) Kupwara, village Kachloo of Tehsil Kralgund has been declared as Red Zone, thereby restricting both inward and outward movement of people from the Zone.
Apart from this, the surrounding villages of Kachloo have been declared as buffer zones and restrictions have been put on the movement of the inhabitants of these areas, who have been asked not to allow relatives/visitors to visit their homes without written permission of concerned Administrator.
Tehsildar Kralgund has been designated as Administrator for red and buffer zones of Kachloo.
The Administrator has been directed to ensure screening of households in the Red Zone and furnish information as per the prescribed format to the office of the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara on regular basis.
The Administrator will be assisted by Fayaz Ahmad Parray, Lecturer GHSS Zachaldara and Mohammad Sultan Rather, Lecturer GHSS Sogam.
All the officers of the line departments have been directed to ensure the availability of basic facilities including food grains, LPG, medicines etc in the red/buffer zones.
They were asked to respond to medical emergencies of the people living in the red and buffer zones and the concerned BMO will dedicate one ambulance for the Red Zone area, statement said.
