Excise Commissioner visits liquor manufacturing plants | LMA appreciates initiatives taken by the department | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 30: In order to ensure that there is no shortage of liquor in market the Excise Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan today inspected many bottling plants in Samba District. As per the details available with Early Times, out of 15 liquor manufacturing plants, 12 have restarted functioning. The plants according to officials, after taking all requisite permissions from concerned authorities had opened on Friday as per instructions of Commissioner and today after cleaning the factories and making all preparations finally the manufacturing has commenced. The Liquor Manufacturing Association (LMA) has highly appreciated the initiative of the Excise Department including the Commissioner Excise who’s personally taking keen interest in ensuring restoration of liquor manufacturing. Those who accompanied the Excise Commissioner included Deputy Commissioner Accounts Bharat Singh (KAS), Himanshi Gupta (KAS) ETO distillary, inspectors and subordinate staff. |
