Release PF of disengaged workers, demands Ex-MLA Ashok Kumar

JAMMU, May 31: Senior Congress leader and former MLA from Ramban, Ashok Kumar has urged upon the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to direct the concerned authorities of Gammon Company to immediately release the Provident Fund (PF) of the all the employees who were disengaged from the services in the Project of National Highway-44 four lane in Ramban.
In a statement here: "He said that more than 50 employee engaged in project under Gammon company as helpers, supervisor, engineers etc. were dismissed from the job as the Gammon company had sub-let the construction work of National Highway-44 four lane to another Contractors. However, company concerned authorities have not yet provided their Provident Fund from the Last one year".
Ashok has further said that these unemployed local technicians youths of Ramban area should be re-engaged immediately in the Construction of National Highway-44 four lane project as they have gained ample of experience in past 4 to 5 years and moreover, the four lane project is still under construction from Nashri tunnel to Ramban and further. He stressed upon the Gammon Company that they should be re-engaged immediately in the project of NH-44 from Nashri to Ramban.
Ashok strongly urged to the lieutenant governor of Jammu and Kashmir to direct the company concerned authorities to immediately release the 4 years of pending provident fund amount of the employees engaged and worked for company day and night. Also, direct them to re-engaged local people on priority basis in the company so that unemployment could be reduced in the hilly district of Ramban.
