Jammu gets 100 bedded Ayush Hospital, Dr Yudhvir Gupta nominated in the supervisory committee

Jammu, May 31: Ministry of Ayush, Government of India has accorded approval for establishment of Centre for Yoga and Naturopathy included integrated 100 bedded hospital at Central University, Jammu and has desired to incorporate the same in the annual Action Plan 2020-21.
The government of UT of J&K has approached Ministry of Ayush, GOI with a request to provide requisite budgetary allocation for execution of the said project. According to Prof Aima VC of CU Jammu, “ It is due to sincere effort and persuasion of Dr Jitendra Singh, MOS (PMO) that Central University Jammu has been chosen for this project.” Apart from Yoga and Naturopathy as a subject for research scholars the hospital would provide state of the art facilities for treatment with Ayurvedic system of medicine. It would be a boon for the local people as it along with the AIIMS would greatly enhance the health care infrastructure in the UT. In order to ensure timely completion of the project in a mission mode VC, CU Jammu has appointed a three member committee of eminent professionals to liaise with Ministry of Ayush and oversee the completion of the hospital and other teaching facilities. Dr CM Seth, the famous environmentalist and ex IFS officer has been nominated as the convener of the committee. Dr Yudhvir Gupta, a popular social activist, and ex HOD of Department of Pathology GMC, Jammu has been nominated as a member to provide expert advice. Dr Yudhvir who is also the Convener of J&K Civil Society, a NGO which is in the forefront of looking after the welfare and equipping of corona frontline warriors in Jammu region.
