Trump’s big move
5/31/2020 11:19:50 PM
United States President Donald Trump terminating relationship with the World Health Organization and calling it a China’s puppet is a hint that world is all set for a change after the COVID-19 pandemic ends.
The US President has taken a tough stand as his country has been worst hit due to outbreak of coronavirus. More than one lakh people have died in the US so far and the number is still mounting. President Trump from the day one has been calling COVID-19 as Chinese virus and has openly blamed China for plunging the world into crisis.
While snapping ties with the WHO, President Trump said that China has take complete control of the WHO and it’s no point continuing any relationship with it and the US funds will be redirected to other bodies.
Soon after the COVID-19 left China and reached other countries President Trump termed it as an attack on America. He blamed the WHO for not informing the world in advance and playing into the hands of China. To begin with he had stopped funding to WHO and now he has just snapped the ties.
American leaders, especially President Trump and his advisors, during the past few days have upped the ante against China.
A notion is being created that the United States is waiting for the pandemic to end to hit back at China. But the Chinese during the past few weeks have intensified their war drills and are threatening their neighbours. It appears that China too has realized that it can face collective backlash from the international community.
Trump divorcing WHO could be a beginning of bigger crisis than COVID-19 which world is looking at. If the US and other countries decide to avenge the deaths which have been caused due to this deadly virus, which emerged from Wuhan in China, it could spell doom for the entire planet.
The United States taking a tough stand could be a beginning of an era which could lead to more attacks and counter attacks. And ultimately, it’s the humans who will suffer. China needs to come clear on how it was able to keep virus confined within Wuhan only. In the beginning everyone was of the opinion that lockdown will stop the virus from moving. But three months after the lockdown the world has realized that the lockdown is not the solution. Sooner or later the vaccine will come and the day world believes that cure has been found, the China will have to answer tough questions. The pressure tactics being applied by China won’t last long.
