| SIF expresses anguish over killing of driver in Kashmir | | |

JAMMU, June 1: All J&K PoJK 1947 PoJK Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum (SIF) expressed shock and anguish over the cold blood murder of a Jammu based driver in Kashmir.
The issue was raised during the meeting of the core committee members of SIF under the chairmanship of Adv Amrik Singh and joined by Surjit.Singh general secretary of Forum.
The Forum demanded a judicial inquiry into the killing of Jammu based driver, Ravinder Singh, son of Deva Singh of village Simbali, district Jammu. The Forum demanded a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the deceased family.
The forum elaborated that since the escalation of peak militancy in Kashmir valley; the transporters continued their supply of essential and non-essential commodities to Kashmir valley without any fail. They further said that this is not the only murder but till date more than 20 innocent drivers and cleaners have been massacred by the unidentified killers but culprits of these heinous crimes have never brought to justice which is a matter of grave concern.
The members of the Forum also demanded for proper security arrangements for the transporters. |
