Leh, June 2: Secretary School Education, Ladakh Saugat Biswas who is also the Chairperson Executive Committee YOUNTAN SOCIETY, chaired its first Executive Committee meeting today. YOUNTAN SOCIETY was registered as the State Implementing Agency of SAMAGARA SHIKSHA in Ladakh. Deputy Secretary Ministry of Human Resource Department (MHRD) New Delhi V.K. Verma (via VC), Deputy Commissioner/CEO LAHDC Leh Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Deputy Commissioner/ CEO LAHDC Kargil Baseer-ul-Haq Chaudhary (via VC), Director School Education Ladakh Mohd Mumtaz Ali, Deputy Director Planning Tsering Angdus, Deputy Director Accounts & Treasury Stanzin Donsal, Assistant Secretary JKBOSE Tashi Tundup, I/c Principal DIET Leh Padma Dolker, DEPO Leh Chetan Dorje, and officers and officials of School Education Department Leh and Kargil (through VC) attended the meeting. The meeting had threadbare discussions on the annual plan proposal of the society for approval through a detailed power point presentation. This proposal was presented for the approval of the Chairperson of the Committee. Biswas stressed that Union Territory of Ladakh is committed to ensure that school education reaches every child and that the government of UT Administration is committed to quality education to every child of the region is ensured. Expressing concern over the issue of fall in number of enrolment in government schools lately in Ladakh, he directed the Chief Education Officers of both the districts to conduct tracking of the students of a particular zone for analysis purpose.
