Omar chides Apni Party leaders for “grand oath taking” event
6/2/2020 11:32:03 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, June 2: Former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah is very happy that oath taking ceremony of the “proposed” administrative council could not take place as per media reports.
Without naming leaders of the Apni Party, Omar chided those who had planted the stories about oath taking ceremony. “What happened to the grand oath taking that we were promised would happen in Jammu today? “Sources” plant, journalists happily reproduce as though the gospel truth & when it doesn’t happen all of them hope we’ve forgotten what was tweeted/reported. #FakeNews”, Omar Abdullah tweeted.
“I could write a small book on the fake news planted & happily reproduced while I was detained in Hari Niwas starting with the fight I’m supposed to have had with @MehboobaMufti, the flight to Delhi we were supposed to have been taken on and so on & so forth. #FakeNews”, he stated in series of tweets.
Although Omar Abdullah is mocking those who had reported that oath of administrative council will be held on June 2, he had added fuels to the rumours by his unscheduled visit to New Delhi.
It was Omar’s unscheduled visit, amid special flights to shift stranded people, that had created rumours in the corridors of power that something has been cooking in Delhi.
