Covid-19: District Administration Doda accelerates sample collection, testing in the district

DODA, June 3: Keeping in view the situation arisen due the Covid-19 threat across the country and as well as in J&K, the district administration under the supervision of District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode has pushed the speed of sample collection and testing across the district in comprehensive manner.
As informed by the authorities of the health department, over 9342 samples are taken in the district so far out of which 8380 reports are received and 962 are still pending at testing levels in different testing labs designated by the Government of J&K.
Moreover, the reported cumulative positive cases of the district are 27 out of which 5 cases were actually detected outside the district which includes 2 at Railway station, 1 at GMC Jammu, 1 at Batote and 1 at District Udhampur.
The tally of the active cases in the district at present is 25, all are in administrative quarantine and one has also been successfully recovered and accordingly discharged from the GMC Doda couple of days ago, Besides, it has also been revealed that contact tracing of all the primary contacts has been done by the designated teams and are accordingly quarantined in different locations.
Meanwhile, it is being reported by the authorities that around 250-300 inter district movements are recorded at Assar Naka on a daily basis.
The district administration has appealed to people of the district to remain indoor during the ongoing lockdown restrictions and follow the measures of social distancing, unnecessary gatherings and travel. The administration has also asked them to rely on authentic information disseminated by the government authorities and not to believe on rumor mongering and fake news menace.
