CEO Udhampur overlooks Comm Secy’s order on detachment of teachers
Blue eyed teacher continues to enjoy attachment for past 17 years
6/3/2020 11:25:16 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, June 3: Overlooking the directions of Commissioner Secretary School Education JK UT to detach all teachers with immediate effect, who are attached in different offices of the department, a ‘blue eyed’ teacher, who is presently attached with the office of Chief Education Officer (CEO) Udhampur, is still enjoying the privileges as he is yet to be detached.
The teacher, in question, has almost spent his service in attachments in different offices for the past 17 years. Recently, the Commissioner Secretary School Education had taken strong note of the matter of prolonged attachment of teachers in various offices of the School Education Department through his tweets and had ordered to detach all those teachers and subsequently to send them to their parent places of postings as a precursor to rationalization process.
Sources in the department told Early Times that although the Director School Education Jammu, while taking cognizance of the complaint against the alleged teacher, had issued an order to detach him from the office but he is still attached in the office of CEO Udhampur without any charge.
“As per order No. 1115-DSEJ of 2020 dated 22-08-2019 issued by Director School Education Jammu, it has detached and relieved the alleged teacher from the office of CEO Udhampur but interestingly he again managed his attachment at the same posting,” they said.
Sources alleged that the teacher also supplies school uniforms, study material for Government school students and the identity cards for employees of the department from his shop and also calls the shots in the office of CEO Udhampur.
Astonishingly, the alleged teacher remained attached at a ZEO Office from 2003 to 2015 and then from 2015 onward has been enjoying his attachment in the officer of CEO Udhampur. They alleged that in order to save the blue eyed teacher from detachment, the CEO office issued an order and deputed him for COVID-19 duties to assist District Administration. Moreover, the office attached his as DNO ICT labs despite the fact that the said the teacher has no experience in computer line and doesn’t possess computer qualification for the post.
