Revoking of Madni, Mansoor PSA raises many eye-brows!
It appears that PDP leadership shuns confrontation with strong Centre at this point out time

Early Times Report

Jammu, June 3: Many eye-brows have been raised over decision of the J&K Government to revoke PSA of Mohammad Sartaz Madni and Peer Mansoor along with Shah Faesal.
Although decision on Shah Faesal was on expected line, revoking PSA of Madni and Mansoor has added fuel to the rumours that PDP leadership is trying to keep Centre in good humour because party leaders have realized that confrontation with Narendra Modi led government is not going to give any result.
Peer Mansoor is hardcore PDP leader and Sartaz Madni is maternal uncle of PDP supremo Mehbooba Mufti. Revocation of their PSA is an indication that PDP leadership has opened back-channel diplomacy with Centre to avoid confrontation.
Credible sources said that PDP leadership has realized that the present BJP led government at the Centre is not like the previous regimes at Delhi- which used to succumb before pressure tactics of Kashmir based politicians.
“During the last one month PDP president’s tweeter handle is also avoiding positing any controversial posts to avoid controversies with Union Government”, a senior leader of the party said on the condition of anonymity. The leader said that party’s president tweeter handle is almost silent for the quite some weeks.
However, after release of Sartaj Madni and Peer Mansoor, PDP president tweeted from her account and hailed this decision.
“Relieved that arbitrary & illegal detention of Shah Faesal, Sartaj Madni & Peerzada Manzur under PSA has finally been revoked.
However, political detainees including Sajad Lone, Ali Mohd Sagar, Hilal Lone, Nayeem Akhtar & Waheed Para, Civil society members such as Mian Qayoom & others are still imprisoned in & outside J&K.
They must be released immediately. Pertinent to mention that barring a few, most political leaders cutting across party lines continue being under house arrest. Their unlawful detention is an aberration of the law”, Mehbooba stated in series of tweets.
