24 including pregnant lady Corona positive cases reported in Udhampur

Udhampur June 4: As many as 24 cases are today declared positive for Coronavirus infections in Udhampur today.
Of these 24 cases 19 have history of travelling outside J&K while the remaining five inclued a pregnant lady who was shifted from sub district hospital ramnager to district hospital udhampur on May 30 and she was operated in emergency on June 2 after she developed severe labour pains and her COVID-19 sample was collected. Sources informed that the lady was brought to district hospital Udhampur in ambulance from Ramnagar hospital and she delivered a baby there. “After the lady was reported positive and she shifted to covid -19 isolation ward ,9 doctor among 28 medical staff of district hospital udhampur has been quarantined and the gynecology unit and ultra sound centre of the district hospital udhampur has been shut for next 2-3 days till the report quarantined people will comes,” informed Medical Superintend of Udhampur Hospital, Dr Vijay. He also informed that Udhampur Hospital has so far 54 positive Corona case while the hospital is just 80 bedded.
However medical staff including doctors and nurses of sub district hospital ramnager has been quarantined who were contact with pregnant lady .
