Jammu, June 5: YLA team planted the saplings with the senior members of citizen of Jammu in eve of international environmental day
Advocate Upasana Thakur, General secretary, Young Lawyers Association Jammu planted the saplings at Northern Height Apartments,Lower Thather , Bantalab Jammu in presence of several prominent senior citizens of the society.Speaking on the occasion,Madam Upasna Thakur said thatWorld Environment Day is the day which will keep reminding us of the wrong we did to our environment and the right we need to do to correct it all. Earth is like our home and we must make efforts to keep it clean and green.The whole environmental cycle is based and working on the principle of as we sow,so shall we reap.The recent killing of mother elephant alongwith her baby inside her womb is an extreme example of inhumanity, which is highly condemnable.
In addition to this,Madam thakur said that every human being should plant atleast one tree in his life span which will make this planet earth green and global warming will also vanish.Making an end to the media interaction,Madam Upasna Thakur said that on the occasion of World Environment Day, let us promise to make it a better place to live.
