| TWS celebrates World Environment Day | | |

Jammu, June 5: Tawi Welfare Society Jammu celebrated World Environment Day at Apnavan Sure Chak. Like previous years Society members decided to do plantation in this year also.
Minimum 500 plants will be planted of various species including fruit and ornamental plants. Inauguration of this drive was made today by planting 20 plants on this World Environment Day. Vipan Gupta President Shopkeeper Union Phallain was the Chief Guest on this occasion who also planted the plants He gave assurance to provide plants to the Society during the current season. Society decided to plant on regular basis till the end of the coming season. Yash Paul General Secretary of the Society spoke in detail about the importance of this day.
He told that due to global warming plant more trees is the need of the day and to save our environment from pollution is the duty of all of us. |
